She is preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Allen Comeaux (DOD 1966) and Henry John Boenisch (DOD 2014); her parents Allen Joseph Clements (DOD 1987) and Inez Thibodeaux Clements (DOD 2002); her sister Voilet Fournier (DOD 1994); her brother Alton Clements (DOD 1995) ; her brother Allen Clements Jr (DOD 1940); her brother Herman Clements (DOD 1944).
Ann is survived by her daughter Patricia Comeaux Thornton; her grandson Richard Daniel Thornton and his wife Karlee Ann Thornton; her great grandson Rylen Daniel Thornton; and her great granddaughter Ava Grace Thornton all of Pasadena, Texas.
Ann is survived by her sisters Myra Pillaro of Centerville, Louisiana; Elsie LeBlanc of Lafayette, Louisiana; and Margie LaGrange of League City, Texas.
Ann was born in Bayou Sale, Louisiana on January 9, 1932 and always maintained her tight roots to her Louisiana family.
In 1953, only days after her marriage to Richard Comeaux at St Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville, Louisiana, they started their life together by moving to Houston, Texas. Many friends became extended family in Texas. Even after the sudden death of her husband Richard in 1966, the decision to remain in Texas was an easy one, it was home and the place she was meant to be for life.
In 1975 Ann married Henry Boenisch at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. Ann and Henry were active in their Catholic faith. Upon retirement and Ann and Henry’s move to Pasadena in 1988, St Hyacinth Catholic Church in Deer Park became their resident Parish.
Ann was a 50 plus year member of Catholic Daughters Court Mother of Charity #1713 until it was dissolved and then transferred to Catholic Daughters Our Lady of St Hyacinth Court #2361.
Ann and Henry were both active members of Catholic Life Insurance and developed a wonderful lifelong extended family there as well.
In 1987 when Henry and Patricia opened their Income Tax and Bookkeeping office, Ann became the front office first impression for she never met a stranger and could talk to anyone about anything. Once anyone met Ann, they became part of our business family. Her welcoming personality is still the subject of many of Patricia’s tax clients to this day, almost 40 years later.
You never visited Ann’s house without the coffee pot being ready and being offered plenty to eat. Shrimp gumbo, rice dressing, chicken stew and much more were always on the stove. You never left without a lot of love and a lot of food and always to-go plates for later.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for Heart to Heart Hospice. Ann’s Nurse Lacey and CNA Meagan were our Angels during Ann’s time of need. They wrapped Ann in their Angel Wings with kindness, patience, and compassion.
Private family services will be held.
The family request prayers for those who have passed and those who are still here to mourn.
