Aurora Garcia

Aurora was born in Sugarland, Texas on February 11, 1931. She graduated from Sam Houston High School and on December 12, 1953 married Monico Garcia of Houston, Texas. They lived a blessed life for 55 years in South Houston where they raised six children. Aurora was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed dancing, music and family life. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. She touched many lives. She will be missed dearly.

Aurora is preceded in death by her husband Monico Garcia, her son Michael Garcia and baby William. She is survived by their five children Brenda Garcia Davis and husband Don; Monica Garcia Scalero; William Garcia; Elizabeth Garcia Garza and husband Sergio; Dolores Garcia Elliott and husband Frank. Surviving grandchildren are Dustin Davis and wife Shirisha; Abrey Wuneburger and husband Jonny; Anthony Scalero; Anjanette Scalero; Amanda Deason Vasquez and husband Kraig; Clarice Elliott; Benjamin Elliott and Linsey Garcia. Surviving great-grandchildren are Camryn Jaeger, Maddox Wuneburger and Aven Vasquez. She is also survived by her sister Esther Salazar as well as numerous nieces, nephews and family members. Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on December 29, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster, Texas.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013, at 12:30 at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America at www.alzfdn.org.
