She was born in Needville, Texas on December 30, 1945 to Max and Esther Balcerowicz.
She was married to Jerry Matthews Sr. for 55 years. Betty worked as a receptionist/front desk for Frost Band and Ridgeway. She had a passion for gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Matthews Sr.; father, Max Balcerowicz; mother, Esther Market; uncle, Pete Balcerowicz.
She is survived by son, Jerry Matthews Jr. (Linda); daughter, Lori Elliott (Ronnie); granddaughter, Lynn Elliott; grandson; Travis Elliott (Natasha); great grandson, Tyler White; great granddaughter, Amron Elliott; great grandson, Jaden Rodriguez; brother, Michael Balcerowicz (Diane).
A visitation for Betty will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 10114 Hwy 6, Hitchcock, Texas 77563. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 10114 Hwy 6, Hicthcock, Texas 77563. A committal service will occur Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.
Serving as pallbearers are Tyler White, Jaden Rodriguez, Jerry Matthews Jr., Ron Elliott, Travis Elliott, Wayman Matthews, Raymond Matthews and Tommy Hernandez.
