Betty was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Benjamin and Alma Churchill on June 4, 1935. Her family moved to Houston, where she went to school, graduated then began working. She worked at Houston Lighting and Power where she met the love of her life, Ed Pridgen. They were married on December 10, 1954, and were happy for the next 40 years, until Ed's death in 1994.
Betty loved God, Family and Friends. She worshiped at the Pearland Church of Christ and volunteered at Christian Helping Hands. She loved painting, doing floral arrangements with friends, and any kind of craft. She loved traveling. With Ed it would always include rock hunting. A love they passed down to the grandkids. She loved helping others, but most of all she loved her family. She was a wonderful mom.
