Billie Mae Jenkins

February 12, 1932May 7, 2021

Billie Mae Jenkins born February 12, 1932 to Clay and Naomi Hendricks. Billie married Robert (Bob) Jenkins, and together they had four daughters, Janette & Annette, followed by Nanette, and Robin. Billie and her husband ran a successful auto parts business in South Houston for decades before retiring to their farm in Richards, Texas. Billie enjoyed traveling, long walks, quiet times with a good book, but, most of all, she loved time with her family. She is survived by her brother Clay Hendricks, her daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, as well as a large extended family. She will be missed more than words alone could express.

I remember spending many summer days at Uncle Bob & Aunt Billie’s home. I remember riding my 3 wheeler all over the farm and thinking it must’ve been a 1,000 acres or more. I remember countless hours fishing in their ponds. I remember fish frys, tractor rides, and thinking I was an real country boy when I was at their home. My condolences to my cousins Jan, Ann, Nan, and Robin. Aunt Billie was a beautiful soul and I know she will be missed.

Billie was a wonderful friend whose friendship I will cherish always. She always had a smile and an encouraging word. We were neighbors and she would call and invite me over for a cup of coffee or one of her fabulous dinners. Ummmm! The best.

May she rest in peace and be reunited with those she loved the most.
Jan, Ann, Nan and Robin my sincere condolence to you.
