

Bobbie Lee Sanders, 89, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, September 4, 2017 in Deer Park, Texas. He was born on October, 10, 1927 in Malvern, Arkansas to Roy and Alma Sanders. Bobbie’s parents owned a poultry farm and gas station during his childhood. It didn’t come as a surprise that he would have an affection for cars and a hatred for chicken. Bobbie was a machinist who worked for numerous years and retired from Nabsico/Kraft Foods. Affectionately known as “Paw” by his grandchildren and “Big Paw” by his great grandchildren he was known for his big gruff voice, silly ear wiggle and contagious belly laugh.
Bobbie is survived by his daughter Carol Drake-Hale, granddaughters Mellissa Fielden and husband Terry and Amanda Bradley and husband Steven. Great grandchildren Lauren Bradley, Chloe Bradley, Drake Fielden, Elizabeth Fielden, Krystle Fielden-Fernandez and husband Adrian and Dylan Fielden as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Bobbie is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Sanders, his son Gary Sanders and his brothers George and David Sanders.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 10:00 am- 12:00 pm with services beginning at noon. Both are being held at South Main Baptist Church, 4300 East Sam Houston Parkway S, Pasadena, Texas 77505. Interment immediately following at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.
Forever in our hearts, rest high “Pappa Bear” for there is no more pain or sorrow just the beauty of God’s grace. Until we meet again, we will forever miss your beautiful soul.
