Bobby Joe Allison of Sagemont, Texas passed away June 25, 2020. Bobby was born in Columbus, Georgia on December 3, 1952 to Jackie and Bobby Allison Sr. He was married to Laura Allison for 17 years. Bobby graduated Dobie High School in 1972 and was drafted to the Air Force in 1973. He served in the Vietnam War and was stationed in Thailand. Bobby returned home in 1975 and started to work at Hobby Airport followed by Entex which is where he worked for over 20 years. Bobby’s true passion was art. He would sit in the garage and paint for hours. He also attended various art and craft shows to show off his art and talk with others. In his free time, he would listen to music and play the guitar. He would always brag on his five daughters and was an extremely proud father. He was always a good mentor to the grandkids, always demanded respect, and showed the young men of the family how to be a gentleman. He always instilled in his daughters to find happiness, not settle and to always be kind to one another. He found the good in every situation and would always point out the positives to help get through any issues.
He was preceded in death by his father Bobby Allison Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Laura Allison and their two girls Chaney Allison and Makenzie Allison, three older girls, Kelly Allison, Shelly Allison and Joe Quintanilla, Courtney Allison and Robyn Sarvis. His sister Mary Allison Henson, and husband Paul, Wesley Allison and wife Rose. Thirteen grandchildren, Jacob Allison, Sofia and Ariana, Makayla Thompson, Tyler Stormer, Kloe Oates, Tavin Stormer, Mya Stormer, Kane Oates, Skylar and Allison Quintanilla, Hailey and Andrew Quintanilla, Robbie and Caden Sarvis. His nieces and nephews, Chad, Brooke and Woods Ehlinger, Justin Henson, Ashley, Ben, Drake, Elise, and Luke Dichiara, John, Brianna, and Belle Allison.
Bobby was an amazing father, grandfather, soon to be great-grandfather, uncle, and US veteran. Everyone that met him all described him the same, a genuinely nice guy that always greeted you with a smile. He was always the voice of reason the one who anyone could depend on at any time.
