Coach changed many lives, both directly and indirectly. He spent untold hours helping me grow as a player...which led to my 26 year career as a coach. When tired and frustrated, I'd look back and see his smile and enthusiasm when he would say 'One more time, Billy', and I would remember why I, too, was teaching/coaching...to hopefully make an impact and change lives...just like Coach did for me.

I had Mrs. Sylestine as my 1st grade teacher and she made such an impact on me. I remember seeing her husband many times. And I especially remember him coaching basketball. He was always such a nice man, and together, a couple you could look up to. I am so sorry for your loss Mrs. Sylestine! Shirley Fields Traynor
