When they were around 14, Brad came with my nephew, Drew McCartney,  to visit us for a week here in Tennessee, near Dale Hollow Lake. He quickly took to water skiing and made conquests of our hearts. He was so kind, caring, and charming to all even as a young teenager.  He would tease my mom by telling her, "You have to fill up your tank, Grandma." Mom weighed about 95 pounds so we always encouraged her to eat. Even though we only saw Brad a few times through the years, we cherish the love he freely gave to all. My heart aches for you. He was good through and through. 

As one if Bradlee’s aunts, I cherish so many memories I have of my nephew whom we all loved so much.  Here are a couple I love to tell… 

Bradlee was always such a sweet, sensitive  young man.   But, he was also one of the most adorable little boys imaginable. When he was about 6 years old he was the ring bearer at our wedding.  He loved that little ring pillow, but he loved tossing it in the air even more!  As we were taking the pictures the photographer (kind of an old crotchety guy) would say “1, 2, 3” and Bradlee would throw the pillow in the air with a “WHEE!!”  Of course, all of us in the bridal party laughed each time which encouraged him.   After many, many tries to get pictures, the old photographer had enough and yelled at poor Bradlee.  He was sooo sad for the rest of the pictures.  We all thought the old guy should have just stopped saying “1, 2, 3…”. 

Bradlee also used to stay with grandma and grandpa quite a bit on weekends when he was little.    One of my favorite things to do was to walk him down to the Sidney Grocery store and get him Mountain Dew and candy!  He used to almost always choose candy cigarettes.  He would just talk and talk the whole way.  He loved to stop on the little bridge and chuck rocks in the creek.  He would just chatter the whole way!  Nowadays, the candy cigarettes are a thing of the past, (and frowned upon) but he really thought he was big stuff with his Mountain Dew and Candy Cigarettes!  

Bradlee will forever be in my heart.  ❤️

Brad was always a natural athelete. Golf was no different.
The first time I took Brad to the golf course he teed up a ball and out drove me by 50 yards.
He had a smooth natural swing.
We played for a while and I could tell he wanted to drive the cart.
He wasn't suppose to drive he wasn't old enough, by I was his grandpa and we bent the rules a bit. He took off like an Indy drive and had the cart up on 2 wheels. All most turned it over.
Kind of scared both of us.
He stopped and said sorry, I guess you should drive. I said no you drive but try to keep all the wheels on the ground.
He did fine after that.
We had fun.


Humble, Selfless and a true Soldier. Brad was welcomed to the 36th Infantry Division Headquarters, as a Battle CPT.  After we quickly realized the type Soldier and person he was, we began working his promotion to Captain and he shortly became a pivotal part of our 1st ever Current Operations and Intelligence Cell (COIC). We suffered together through managing task lists, data, and the maintaining the mission status across the Division. We were blessed to have gotten to know the Soldier he was and morn the loss of a great leader.

I was so excited to hire on Brad to our Pulte family. He had served his country honorably and was ready to make a jump into real estate. I then had the privilege to manage Brad.  He was a caring, humble, and extremely kind person. The world lost a "good one" with his passing. May God be with his family and friends as they move forward.

We used to take the grandkids on a grandkids vacation every year.  When Brad was about 6 and his sister, Amanda was about 5,   we took them to Chicago to see some of the museums, zoo,  and The Aquarium. Brad loved the Aquarium. We decided to eat lunch there. We were lucky enough to get a table right by the window overlooking the lake. It was beautiful picturesque scene with sailboats, and yachts.  Brad stared out the window for several minutes . I saw him shut both eyes hard and tight two times.  He said "Grandma I just took a picture in my mind so I can remember this forever".  Brad was a beautiful, sweet boy.  He was our first grandchild and will always be held in a special place in my heart.

I am so very sorry for your loss, I met Brad through Daniel last year at Caleb’s 1st birthday party, I am Doyle’s fiancé,  Brad was such a fine young man, son, husband, father, godfather, and best friend to Daniel. I am praying for Jesus to wrap His arms around you and give you peace in knowing Brad’s rewards are great in Heaven. Much love is being sent to the entire family. Janene
