Brenda Lee Aaser

Brenda was born on May 14, 1960, in Moorhead, Minnesota, to Harlan and Vivian Matson. She was married to Steve Aaser for 41 years, until his unfortunate passing in 2021. After receiving her diploma from Moorhead Senior High School, she completed welding school and then enjoyed years working with jewelry at John Gould Jewelers in Moorhead Center Mall. After many relocations around the United States and raising their daughters, she worked at Scott Orthodontics in Webster, Texas for 20 years until retiring in 2021.

She enjoyed crafting, different arts, and vacationing. She loved spending most of her time with her family and friends with music and a cold Miller Lite by the pool, but most of all her three beloved grandchildren.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Aaser; her parents, Harlan and Vivian Matson; her brother, Bruce Matson; her sister, Diana “DeeDee” Jacobson; and her brothers-in-law, Roger Aaser and Mark Holweger.

She is survived by her children, Lindsey (Trevor) Davis and Carrie (Michael) Thomas; her grandchildren, Kaylee, Camden, and Isla; her sister, Linda Hamm; her brothers, Dale Matson and Lee Matson; her siblings-in-law, Rick (Cindy) Aaser, Wayne (Laurie) Holweger, Claudette (Gary) Grandbois, Scott (Carey) Aaser, and Kristi (Ron) Johnson; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and the many children and grandchildren she chose to call her own.

In lieu of traditional funeral services, Brenda requested her life be remembered through love, funny stories, and precious memories. Details for a celebration of life to follow.
