It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Brenda Kay Allen, who passed away peacefully in her bed at her home in Pearland, Texas, on October 18, 2025, at the age of 73.
Brenda was born on February 4, 1952, in Wharton, Texas, to John and Mary West, who preceded her in death. Throughout her life, Brenda was known for her animated spirit, unwavering determination, and boundless love for those around her. She lived fully and authentically, touching the lives of many through her warmth, humor, and dedication to everything she pursued.
Brenda found great fulfillment in her career in real estate, where her strong will, tenacity, and vibrant personality made her both successful and deeply respected. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she found joy in nature and the outdoors—especially fishing, water skiing, and tending to the lush garden she so lovingly cultivated.
She lived life with enthusiasm, embracing new experiences and adventures with family and friends. Brenda’s zest for life was matched only by her devotion to those she loved.
Brenda shared a devoted marriage with David Allen from 1981 until his passing in 2015. She is survived by her children, Ron Thomas and his wife Melody, and Wendy Williams and her husband Michael. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Kennedy Williams, Garrett Williams, and Amber Thomas, each of whom brought her immense joy.
She is also survived by her brother, Gregory West and his wife Kathy, her nephew Michael West, and his daughter Natalee West, along with her faithful dog, Mary, who remained a constant companion.
In honoring Brenda’s lifelong compassion and love for animals, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Houston Humane Society in her memory, in lieu of flowers.
Brenda will be remembered for her strength, vitality, and enduring love—a remarkable woman whose spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at the same location on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, starting at 10:00 am with a committal service to follow.
