Brenda Rosika Lawrence

Brenda Rosezika Lawrence of Houston passed away on May 24, 2026. She was born on November 3, 1950, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Seth and Evelyn Sharpe. Her family later relocated to Texas because of her father’s job transfer. Brenda was married to Willie Lawrence for more than 42 years until his passing in 2016. Together, they raised a son, LaDell Quinn Demetre Lawrence. During LaDell’s early years, Brenda worked in childcare. She later enjoyed a long career in floral and cake design, beginning at Kroger before founding her own event planning business, Lawrence’s Boutique of Unique Floral and Cake Designs. Brenda was passionate about wedding design, fashion, floral arranging, and cooking, and she treasured celebrating birthdays and holidays with family and friends.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Seth and Evelyn Sharpe; her sister, Seleta “Tina” Bush; and her husband, Willie Lawrence. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, LaDell Lawrence; her daughter-in-law, Dolores Lawrence; and her granddaughters, Sydney Lawrence and Kendyll Lawrence. She is also survived by her brothers, Seth Sharpe (Dorothy), Juan Sharpe (Trisha), and Reginald Sharpe (Ann), along with a host of nieces and nephews.
