

Brian spent the majority of his childhood in Friendswood, TX. After graduating college from Southwest Texas with a bachelor’s degree in finance he moved to Houston, TX. He started a career at Utex Industries where he met Hayley. They got married and shortly after moved to League City and started to grow their family. They eventually landed back in Friendswood, TX and Brian made a change in careers and went to nursing school. He became an ICU nurse and continued to further his career and education in nursing. He was working on his master’s degree and was the manager of ICU at Memorial Hermann Southeast. He was a loving father of 6 amazing children and 2 beautiful granddaughters.
Brian was very laid back and calm. He loved pranking people and joking around. He had a love for comedies and sports movies including Caddy Shack, Stepbrothers, Talladega Nights, Seinfeld and Rudy.
He loved golf, fixing cars and any house repair he could google.
Brian is preceded in death by his grandparents Billy Don Stroup, Robert and Elizabeth Hafele, and Otto and Claudia Dvorak.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 23 years Hayley Hafele, his six children Tyler Cartledge and wife Macie Cartledge, Savannah, Trevor, Sawyer, Teagan and Saylor Hafele, his two granddaughters, Zoey Jane and Zella Rose Cartledge, his father and stepmother Gene and Ruth Hafele, his mother Becky Stroup and stepfather Drew Laughlin, his brothers and sister and their spouses Sam and Natalie Hafele, Randi and Phillip Slaughter, and Matthew Laughlin, sisters in law Cary Cartledge and Will Agudelo, Diane and Blake Wathen and Leyla and Chris Preissinger, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
