She was married on August 22, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois at All Saints Catholic Church to the "Love of her Life," Guy Marvin Mace, Jr. They would of celebrated their 70th anniversary this August. Carmella Rose was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church for 39 years and was devoted to her Catholic faith. She volunteered for 17 years at Bayshore Medical Center, in Pasadena, Texas working in the Gift Shop and at the Information Desk. She was instrumental in teaching Crochet to family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Carmella Cusumano; brother, James Cusumano; sisters, Jeanette Collura, Stella Messina, and Angel Wilkins.
Carmella Rose is survived by her loving husband Guy Marvin Mace, Jr.; daughter Kathleen Anne Giddens and Albert Giddens; son Guy Marvin Mace, III. Grandchildren Dina and Bruce Harlan, Melissa and Ashley Stewart, Jerry and McKenzie Giddens, Nicole Giddens, Guy Mace, IV, Joshua Mace, Cory and Natalie Carney, Cassy and John Sandoval, Bert and Jennifer Giddens, Brittany and Harvey Burns; great-grandchildren Alexis, Haley, Ashlyn, Brookelyn, Kinley, Austin, Parker, Arika Rose, Chloe, Finley, Arianna, Trey, Aiden, and Lyla Joy.
A visitation for Carmella Rose will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited by Deacon Cantu at 6:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. A funeral service will occur on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery. A small reception will follow in the Reflection Room at Forest Park East.
