Carol Ann Squires Klemme, 63, passed away unexpectedly January 17th, 2022, after struggling with several medical issues. She was just shy of her 64th birthday which would have been on February 3. She had been a patient in the hospital for 2 ½ weeks at the time of her passing. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard; three children, Gretchen Norton, Andrew Klemme, and Bryan Klemme; and five grandchildren, Ian Norton, Erin Norton, Darren Klemme, Lincoln Klemme, and Logan Klemme. She is also survived by her father, Robert Squires, her Aunt Arlene Squires, and two brothers, Robert Squires II and William Squires, and niece Colyn Brown.
As a young girl, Carol was actively involved the Rainbow Girls organization, where she rose to the position of Worthy Advisor. As an adult, she moved to the Order of the Eastern Star, affiliated with the Freemason organization. In 2010, she and Richard were elected to the positions of Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron of Eastern Star Pearland Chapter 1062.
Carol became interested in pharmacology when her youngest son Bryan failed to grow physically. After learning of the genetics involved with this condition, she enrolled in the Fayetteville Technical School’s Pharmacy Technician certification program. Certified Pharmacy Technician would become her passion, and helping people was her forte. She very proudly displayed the CPhT certification behind her name.
Carol’s father Robert Squires and her husband Richard served entire careers in the military. Many people would tell her she was therefore a “military brat” to which she would correct them by stating there was no such thing. There were civilian brats, but no military brats. She will be sorely and deeply missed.
