Catherine Jane Brennan

Catherine Jane Brennan, 63, of Missouri City, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. She was born on February 7, 1962, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston, Texas, to Beatrice Anne Holley and James Atmar Holley.

Catherine spent her early childhood in Houston and Pearland, attending Gregg Elementary through third grade and then Shadycrest Elementary. She attended Pearland Junior High and High School. After graduation, she began her college education at the University of Texas at Austin and later transferred to Stephen F. Austin State University to be closer to her high school sweetheart, Ronnie Brennan. She was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority and graduated with a degree in Advertising. After graduation, she began her career in advertising in Houston.

Catherine and Ronnie were married on May 23, 1987, at the First United Methodist Church of Pearland. They shared 38 years of marriage and a lifetime of love and partnership. Together, they raised three children — Meagan, Michael, and David — who were the pride and joy of her life. Catherine’s heart was defined by her deep love for her family and the unwavering care she gave to Meagan.

Catherine found joy in quiet, creative pursuits and the beauty of everyday life. She loved building Lego sets of miniature villages with her sons, cross stitching, solving puzzles, gardening, and watching and feeding birds. Some of her happiest times were spent at the family’s vacation home at Canyon Lake. She also cherished family trips to Yellowstone, the Rocky Mountains, and Hilton Head, South Carolina.

For the past 30 years, Catherine’s home in Missouri City was her favorite place — a warm and welcoming space filled with love, laughter, and countless memories shared with family and friends. Her Christian faith remained a guiding presence throughout her life.

Catherine is survived by her husband, Ronnie Brennan; her children, Meagan, Michael, and David Brennan; and her sister, Lynne Holley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice and James Holley.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation and funeral service on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with the service to follow at 10 a.m.

Serving as pallbearers are Blake Mullen, Garrett Jones, Graham Jones, Kole Baker, Jeffrey Yates, and Terence Brennan.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that blood and platelet donations be made to your local blood bank in Catherine’s memory.
