For almost fifty years, Fred worked as a computer systems analyst for Lockheed in building 44 on site at NASA. He also enjoyed building computers, working on cars, listening to loud music, and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Fred had a strong love for his family, especially all of the children and babies in the family. He could frequently be found laughing about a funny face or a sound a baby was making. He could also be found causing the funny faces and sounds by sneaking them a lemon when no one was watching and causing the children to get absolutely crazy moments before bedtime.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents and his much-loved grandson, Caleb Joseph Allen.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Sharon; his loving son, Brent and wife, Maria, and their daughter, Taylor; his loving daughter, Stacey Green and husband, Darren, and their children John Elam, Kristin Elam, and Addieson Allen and husband, Chase. He is also survived by his much-loved siblings William Ertzel Allen, Ronald Duane Allen, and Elizabeth Ann Smith, their spouses, and many nieces and nephews.
Because Dad loved children and knew the importance of education and health, we would encourage you to contribute to UNICEF at unicefusa.org on his behalf in lieu of sending flowers.
