

Charles (Chuck) D. Hansen, 86 of Webster, Texas, formerly of Colleyville, Texas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, July 16, 2022. He was born in Dumas, Texas to Martin Luther and Olive Oma (Taylor) Hansen.
Chuck grew up in Peoria, Illinois. He attended Manuel High School, where he met his wife Patricia Crank. After graduation he served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 – 1958, aboard the USS Howard S. Gilmore AS16. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois and his Masters from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois.
Chuck was an active member in the Toastmasters Club for over fifty years, mentoring several new clubs. He was active in the Good Shepherd Men’s Club in Colleyville, Texas with Lenten fish frys and pancake breakfasts. Over the years he enjoyed golf, handball and cruising. He retired from General Telephone & Electronics Corporation (now Verizon) in 1995 after a thirty year career.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and sister Roxanna Hansen.
Chuck is survived by his wife Patricia of 65 years; four children Greg (Rhonda) Hansen, Gwen (Todd) Haefke, Jeff Hansen, Karen Hansen; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother Jack Hansen and sister Gaylene Grebner.
A Funeral Mass for Charles will be on Friday, July 29, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, located at 15500 El Camino Real in Houston, Texas. An inurnment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, located at 7801 Gulf Freeway in Dickinson, Texas.
