Cody James Hansen, 21, of Dickinson, Texas passed away February 5, 2021. He was born on November 12, 1999 to James and Lisa Hansen. After graduating high school, Cody worked as the maintenance manager for Enchanted Gardens and as the maintenance director for DDMS of Houston.
Cody was an innovator with a talent for finding new and efficient ways to improve things. He was quick to identify a problem and come up with a solution. He was always helping others by either offering his time, skills, or simply offering a kind word. Just one look at his big beautiful smile would uplift anyone. Cody could make friends with anyone and everyone; he enjoyed spending quality time with his loved ones and always made everyone feel important. In his free time, Cody enjoyed riding dirt bikes, jet skiing, surfing, working on his truck, fitness, taking care of his fish and reptiles, and playing with his and his girlfriend’s dog, Malachi. He also had a knack for carpentry and could build anything he put his mind to.
He was preceded in death by his father James Hansen.
Left to cherish Cody’s memory are his Mother Lisa Hansen of Dickinson, Texas, Brother Shane Hansen of Hobbs, New Mexico, Grandmother Owietta of Dickinson, Texas, Love of His Life Haley Long of Dickinson, Texas. As well as Uncle Larry of Yellville, Arkansas, Aunt Lois of Holbrook, Arizona with Cousin Alex of Dallas, Texas, Uncle Gary and Aunt Marybel with Cousins Hannah and Sarah of El Lago, Texas, Uncle and Aunt Steve and Kerri with Cousins Mandi, Ryan, and Taylor of Richmond, Texas, Uncle and Aunt Janet and Todd with Cousins Kristen and Corinne of Lake Tahoe, Nevada along with many other family members and life-long friends.
A Memorial Celebration of Cody’s life will be held Thursday, March 11 at 6:00PM in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home located at 21620 Gulf Freeway. There will be a live feed for family and friends on the Funeral Home Facebook page for those who will be attending remotely.
