Cristian Ashley Sackett lived a life defined by resilience, creativity, and a spirit that enveloped anyone she knew. Born on June 14, 1999, Cristian brought warmth and light to the world until her passing on October 16, 2026, at the age of 27.
Cristian had a way of lifting up everyone who knew her. She was patient and accepting, always thinking of others first and poured herself into her work and hobbies. She was artistic and embraced the world with wholehearted enthusiasm, always finding joy in the smallest of life’s moments. Her love for cats and Disney was a big part of her life, especially during her time in the Disney College Program in 2020, where she met friends and colleagues who would become her second family in Florida.
Cristian was an incredibly driven individual, earning both her bachelor's and master's degrees in human sciences from Stephen F. Austin State University. After completing her undergraduate studies, Cristian dedicated her life to a career of service working for mental health and advocacy organizations throughout central Florida. Whether she was working in admissions and counseling, case management, or serving on the Council for Maternal and Child Health Policy Innovation, Cristian strived to make the world better for everyone. Some of her most rewarding work included her time as an Adolescent Care Coordinator with the Mental Health Association of Central Florida and as a Case Manager with the Children’s Home Society of Florida. Her recent acceptance to Houston Christian University to pursue her Doctoral degree is just one more example of the persistence she carried into every new chapter.
More than anything, Cristian was a devoted daughter, sister, and friend. She had a fierce, protective love for her two cats—her 'girls' North and Carlie—and she carried a quiet strength that inspired everyone who knew her.
Cristian was preceded in death by her grandfather, Michael Sackett and her great-grandparents, Victor and Mildred Barrios and Alfred and Doris Cardenas.
Cristian is survived by her mother and father, Courtney and Shawn Sackett; brothers, Andrew Ray Sackett and Troy Michael Sackett; grandmothers, Vicki Sackett and Donna Fried; and grandparents, Phillip and Lynn Jackson. She is also survived by her aunts, uncles and their families: Dustin and Lara Jackson and their children, Austin, Abigail, Ashlyn, Ansley, and Anderson; Philicia and Shannon Stem and their children, Noah, Nolan, and Nelson; Brandon Fried and Jeffrey Frelack; and Anthony and Skylar Sackett and their daughter, Mackenzie as well as numerous other loving family members.
Cristian’s life will be celebrated with a visitation on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at 10:30 am at Shrine of the True Cross in Dickinson, Texas with a committal to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
