Dan Cruz

Juan Daniel Cruz, 61, of Houston, TX, passed away March 21, 2016. He was born in Mathis, TX on April 8, 1954 to Juan L. and Aurora Cruz. He was married to Olga Cruz for 17 wonderful years. Dan had a career in drug abuse counseling and gang intervention for CyFair I.S.D. and touched many lives on his journey.

He was a member of Jersey Village Church of Christ and had a deep passion for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and also for his family; he loved music and learning new things, and always making people laugh.

He was preceded in death by Juan, his father; Aurora, his mother; and David, his brother.

He is survived by his loving wife, Olga Sotuyo Cruz; his loving children Erin Cruz, Monique Garavito, Danny Jr, and Margeaux Montana; as well as his caring sister, Adel Cruz.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Dan’s Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to immediately follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
