Daniel Howard Burns Jr., 79, of Texas City, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Daniel was born on June 20, 1947, in Crane, Texas, to Audrey and Daniel Howard Burns Sr. Throughout his life, he was known for his quiet strength, unwavering work ethic, and generous heart. He was the kind of man who led by example, always willing to lend a helping hand and offer support to those who needed it. His kindness and steady presence touched the lives of many.

Daniel found joy in the simple things he loved most. He enjoyed playing poker, had a lifelong passion for cars, and treasured the time he spent with his family. His greatest legacy is the love, values, and memories he leaves behind.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Burns; his children, Kevin Burns, Wendy Burns, and Kristal Wheelock; along with many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Daniel will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is no longer with us, his quiet strength, generosity, and hardworking spirit will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
