Daniel Lee Clements, 45, of League City, Texas passed away in his sleep on March 31, 2021. Dan was born on May 13, 1975 in Wilmington, Delaware to his parents Reynold and Patricia Clements. He was married to his loving wife Jennifer (Waggoner) Clements for 15 wonderful years.
Dan loved to share his passion for the Space Program with his friends and family. He graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1997, and spent his career as a Mechanical Engineer, supporting NASA and the various Space Programs. He met his wife Jennifer at NASA, where they sat side by side supporting the Propulsion systems for the Space Shuttle missions. When his daughters, Kaitlyn (8), Seraphine (7) and Isabel (7) were born, he instantly became the devoted family man we have all come to know and love. His girls were his pride and joy, as he himself was just a big kid at heart.
Dan grew up in Delaware, where he was once known for all around sports talents. He was the Quarterback for his school’s football team, but also had a passion for swimming, basketball, golf and volleyball. Dan loved spending time with his girly girls, attempting to pass on his love of sports. While his attempts did not go by unnoticed, he spent more of his time learning to braid hair and getting his fingernails painted.
Dan was preceded in death by his Grandparents Ernest and Mary Clements; Grandparents Frank and Margaret Meyer; and mother-in-law Laura Waggoner.
Dan is survived by his loving wife Jennifer and their three beautiful daughters Kaitlyn, Seraphine, and Isabel; parents Reynold and Patricia Clements; sister Erin Kirwan and spouse Nate Kirwan; Nephews Tyler and Cruz Kirwan; Niece Cambria Kirwan; Father-in-law Leil Waggoner; Brother-in-law Stephen Waggoner and Spouse Lisa Waggoner; Nieces Hannah, Lillian, and Emma Waggoner; and Nephew Jacob Waggoner; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with interment and a reception to follow. All services are at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
