Darrell Wayne Hess

Darrell was employed with Phillips 66 for over 30 years. He loved working with his crew at the Coker unit and made many lasting friendships throughout the years.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. The family farm in Wheeler was one of his favorite places to relax and unwind.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of eleven and a half years, Jo Ann Hess; two sons, Derick Hess and Tyler Hess; two stepsons Joseph Bay and Joshua Bay and daughters-in-law Leila Bay and Jamie Bay; four grandsons Gavin, Bradley, Riley and Dalton; three granddaughters Lissette, Caressa and Sophia. He loved his grandchildren dearly… and was always so excited to see them! Sister Sherrill Roberts and husband Steve, brother Rusty Hess and wife Freddie, niece Danielle Boyles and husband Ian, nephew Kyle Hess and great-niece Aria Annell Hess, niece Cassie Gilley and husband Ryan, great-nephew Jayden Jordan and great-niece Tristian Jordan and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 10:00am also at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
