Diane was an only child. She spent a lot of her time with her mother-Abby Shaw and her Aunt Grace and Uncle Joe. She found a childhood friend in Ms. Dottye Jayne Hall to which they spent lots of years together running the roads telling stories about an ole Datsun. They were so close in fact; Diane ended up falling in love and marrying Dottye's older brother Ecky Hall in 1973.
Diane's goal in life was to have a "full house". She yearned for a home with a bunch of kids and lots of noise. Let me tell you- that is just what she got! A lot of love and noise and endless hours cheering on her kids at the baseball park or basketball courts.
Diane is survived by her first husband Ecky Hall and their loving children, Sheryl Hall and husband Wayne Reeder, Brent Hall and wife Nadia Hall, and Brandon Hall, along with her 8 adored grandchildren, Maegen, Collin, Ashley, Destiny, Diana Grace, Cadence, Blake, and Kathryn Abby and 4 great grandchildren, Ryan, Allison, Eli, and Xander.
Along the way, she was fortunate to find love again and married Doug Dean. They shared a life full of travel and fun times. She was blessed to have Doug's two sons, Jarred and wife Lea and Justin and wife Amy who adored her as much as she adored them. She loved their children Ethan and Sophie Dean, Asher, Gideon, Naomi, and Rebekah Dean.
Diane was known for her sweet, caring, and bubbly personality. She carried a positive attitude that was infectious to all those around her. Diane was a wellspring of wisdom, often sharing lessons about life with kindness and honesty.
Her passions included listening to her favorite artists such as Rod Stewart, Jimmy Buffet, and The Beatles. Her love for relaxation was often found oceanside, poolside, or enjoying time with her friends and family in Omega Bay. Diane's adventurous spirit led her to her favorite vacation spots in Italy, Rome, New Orleans, and along the Alabama coast. She also loved her local spot, Omega Bay, LaMarque, TX. She had so many friends in her neighborhood. Always dressed stylishly, she often wore her favorite color, pink.
The last six years of her life she spent hanging out with Denise Reeder who in turn became her caregiver 24/7. They spent many days out on the road- traveling to many destinations. Some of her favorite times were spent on road trips where she and Denise would sing praise and worship songs for hours.
Diane was a devout Christian who loved to praise HIM.
The legacy Diane leaves behind is one of kindness and generosity. Her warmth and kindness were a beacon to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was predeceased by her cherished husband, Doug Dean, and her treasured daughter Barbara Jayne Hall.
May Diane's memory be a reminder of the power of positivity and the importance of family. We will miss her deeply, but know that her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
A memorial service to celebrate Diane's life will be held on June 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Forest Park East Funeral Home & Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX, 77598.
