Donald Andrew Bolin Jr.

Donnie graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1998 then served in the U.S. Navy from 1999-2003. He was stationed in Norfolk, VA on the USS Normandy (CG 60) and was deployed to the Persian Gulf during Operation Enduring Freedom. He traveled through southern Europe having some of the best times of his life. On his return to Texas he attended Texas A&M then the University of Houston. He loved college football and when he and his brother Patrick were together it was all about football. Donnie loved to laugh and he loved adventure.

Donnie is survived by his father Donald Bolin, his mother Pat Ashley, stepfather Blake Ashley, his brother Patrick Ashley and grandmother Marian Ashley. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew J. Bolin, Lila J. Bolin-Hurst and Bob Hurst, Micki and Ray Eastridge, Jr., and Harley L. Ashley. He leaves numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.

Donnie touched many lives and he will be forever loved and in our hearts.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home. Immediately following the visitation will be a funeral service honoring Donnie’s life.
