Donavan C. Riess, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on February 9, 2014 in Crosby, Texas. He was born July 2, 1930 in Houston, Texas to Carl and Kate Riess. Preceded in death by his loving wife Monica T. Riess, and his son Donavan T. Riess, he is survived by his daughter Tanya Murphy and husband Ronnie. Daughter-in-law Kim Riess, Grandchildren Jena Land and fiancée Bob Ellender, Allison Murphy and Kasey Riess. Donavan was proud of his service to his country in the US Navy. He volunteered in the Houston and Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeos and the “Texas Haas Beens”. Donavan enjoyed helping and volunteering in many city and civic organizations in the Pasadena and surrounding areas. Family will receive visitors from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday February 12, 2014 at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Funeral service to be held Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Forest Park East Funeral home with burial in Forest Park East Cemetery.
