I lived in TX, for 9 years,  i grew close to Donna.  We shared alot together,  she was very nice to me.  Had alot of fun times,  she was a great friend. So many memories.   My sympathy goes to this family,  most sincerely, Brenda Niebel

Donna, or Memaw as I called her, meant so much to me. She wasn't the typical grandmother by any means. What other Memaw would let you use washable fingerpaints to paint her face or initiate a flour fight while making gingerbread cookies for Xmas? Some of the memories I have with her are some of the best of my life. I wish I could've seen her more in the later years and I hope she knew just how much of an impact she made on my life. I love you always.

I know you and Donna shared a lot of good and precious memories, wish we were there to give you a big hug. I meet Donna in High School in Karnes City, Texas. We spent a lot of
time together. We listened to music and learned to dance. Those were great times with a lot of laughs.  We shared so many things and could talk about everything. I have so many memories I will never forget. Thanks for being my friend.

Aunt Donna was a spirit like no other! She made you belly laugh. I remember the many visits over the years and cutting up with the kids...God we were bad. Still are! Lol

I have many memories of my mom, too many to share. She used to take us to Louisiana to visit Aunt Cynthia, Uncle Bill, and all their kids. Once we went to go see the Beach Boys in concert on a trip there. I remember we all sang and danced to the music. The trips were a special time with my mom. I'm glad you're at peace. Donna came to visit when we lived in Albuquerque.  We had
just installed a jetted tub and Donna wanted to try it out. I
neglected to tell her to go sparingly on the bubble bath, so when she finished and came out of the bathroom, there was floor to
ceiling bubbles. We will dearly miss you Donna.

My best friend was Andrea Ckodre , Donna’s daughter, who passed away when we were 10 years old. Donna was funny and full of life, and LOVED Elvis!!  She treated me like her own. I ran in and out of her house just like mine. She fed me and took me places. I will always remember her smiling blue eyes. Rest in peace Donna. 

I am not much of a writer but my memory of her was from a Christmas party right after they got married.  Donna was the life of the party.   She sang carols and we all joined in.  It was an entertaining day!!  I would like to give my condolences to my father, James,  and Donna's relatives.  I hope that you know what a wonderful person she was and still is in our memories!!

I met Donna before my father got with her. She always seemed really fun to be around. She was what we called back in the day a cool mom. She was definitely the life of the party. My father got with Donna several years later. She and my dad met approximately 20-25 years ago. She love to dress up, dance, and have a good time. My father loved Donna's carefree attitude so that was how they hit it off. Donna used to like to go to New Orleans, Bourbon Street was always a fun time (dancing, Mardi Gras, & etc.). I know my father loved her very much and when they married she became part of the family. Donna and James Carver were to themselves most of the time after they married. They had things to do, places to go, and people to see. Toward the end of her life she ended up getting dementia. My father loved Donna and would do whatever he had to do for her even to the end. He was going to make sure that she was taken care of. I remember a time when the dementia patients had an event for the day, there was music, dancing, games, and etc. My father and I went, the staff started playing the music and all the patients started coming from their rooms when they heard the music. Donna walked up to dad and started dancing with him. I wasn't sure if she knew who he was or if she just wanted to dance. I captured that moment when they started to dance. It was so beautiful and I wanted to share this with everyone. (I have another picture but can only post one). They danced the entire song.
I want to send my condolences to my father (spouse) James Carver, (Daughter) Rhonda Ckodre & her wife Renea Thomas, (Daughter) Chandra Davis, (Sisters) Cheryl Cherry & Jim Cherry, Linda Caraglio & Ron Caraglio, (granddaughters) Ashley Alane, Heather Hodge, Alisha Davis, Crystal Thomas, 2-nephews (Jamie & David Cherry, and all family members.


I've known you all your life - from birth to death.  On the way home from the hospital after you were born our Mother put you in the back seat of the car with  your sisters, Linda & I, so we'd have a few minutes to bond. It worked!  You were energetic, funny, and talented.  No one can sing like you can.  Heaven has gained a wonderful choir member who can sing just about any octave and key.  One day I'll see you again.  Sister love is wonderful, Godly love is eternal.  Until we meet again dear sister.  Love, Cheryl
