

Dorothy Jean Wainwright, 85, of Belton, Texas, joined her heavenly Father on September 23, 2017 in Belton, Texas. Dorothy was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to John and Luella Miller on January 23, 1932. She attended and graduated from Bolton High School in Alexandria, Louisiana in 1950. In 1946, it was love at first sight for them when they met and married to Jeff Wainwright on February 11, 1951. Jeff and Dorothy Wainwright were married for over 66 years. Some of her greatest joys in life were beautiful flowers and creating amazing floral arrangements. She also enjoyed gardening and dancing as well as visits from family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Luella Miller; brothers Arvin Miller, Elvin Miller; Sisters, Wilma Pollard, Elma Parsons, and Edna Paul.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 66 years Jeff Ervin Wainwright. She is also survived by daughters, Ann Heinze and husband Wayne, Karen Curry, Sherry Carwile and husband Keith as well as her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister, Madie Pollard. She will be missed by many special nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Grandview Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM. Burial services will follow at 2pm at Forest Park East, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster Tx, 77598.
