

Irene was born to William Miller and Frankie Miller, December 18, 1924, in Houston, Texas.
She graduated from Memorial Hospital school of nursing in 1946 and earned her RN in Houston.
She married Eugene Frankum in 1950, and they lived together in Houston, Texas. Together they raised three children.
Irine is survived by: William Thomas Frankum, wife Bonnie Frankum and step granddaughter, Jessica Renaudo den Herder and great grandson, Landon Christopher den Herder.
Granddaughter Amy Irene Cummings (great-grandchildren Tyler Andrew Cummings, Peyton Madalynn Cummings, Jaxon Eugene Cummings).
Grandson Eric Eugene Frankum (great-grandchildren Haylee Frankum and Alyssa Frankum.
Great great grandchildren, Aleah Cummings, McKenzie Cummings, Ian Cummings, Brady Garza, Kaiden Garza, Noah Garza and Addison Simmonds.
She also leaves to cherish her memory her precious doggy, Charlie Frankum who is being cared for by family.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Frankie Miller, her son Paul Eugene Frankum and her son James Richard Frankum.
Irene worked as an RN for The Ledbetter Clinic for 60 years. She enjoyed gardening, baking, reading, traveling with friends, sewing, knitting, walking, listening to country music, and spending time with family during holidays. She also made the most beautiful ribbons on presents.
Irene, a true Southern Belle, graced the world with her kindness, sweetness, and quiet strength. Polite and respectful, she rarely uttered a negative word and never complained, embodying grace in every moment. Her ever-present smile and agreeable nature brought light to those around her. Irene’s warmth and charm will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
A visitation for Edith will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598, followed by a graveside service from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
