

Edward Lavern Basore of League City, Texas slipped away from this life at the young age of 73 on Sunday, February 18, 2024. He was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma on February 3, 1951. Eddie was married to the love of his life, Cynthia Beck Basore, for 43 years. Ed joined the US Marine Corp right out of high school and after serving his time, left the Marines as a Lance Corporal. He worked as a cook and a mechanic while serving. Once back home he plied his trade as a carpenter building houses and apartments all over the Houston & Galveston area. Ed returned to school for Machinist training and ended up working for Schlumberger for 5 years. Once again, Ed returned to school for electronics training and worked for a small company in Vitamins. He was a “jack of all trades” and worked at many vocations throughout his life.
Ed was a proud member and sponsor of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) & Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and sober for many years. He had a passion for his family, live music, camping with their “CALM” family in Conroe during the spring and fall seasons. Ed is survived by his wife Cynthia, children Jason Basore, Jennifer Basore Braga (husband Chad), and Janie Brown (wife DeeDee Brown), grandkids Madison Braga, Sarah Hayden, Nathan Hayden, Destiny Kennedy, Raelee Elder, Bailey Brown-Fritts, Domonic Ramey, many nieces, nephews and a multitude of family and friends.
