

Edward Joseph Jaris, born on March 6, 1944, passed away on January 1, 2026, at the age of 81. Residing in Dickinson, Texas, Edward lived a life full of accomplishment, leaving behind a legacy of love and intelligence.
Edward was noted for his remarkable career as an electrical engineer, having graduated from Texas A&M and he loved to watch Aggie football!! He dedicated his entire professional life to SIP a petrochemical engineering company, which later expanded into the aerospace sector as WorleyParsons. His intelligence and hard work laid the foundation for many successful projects.
In his personal life, Edward loved his family and friends. He enjoyed attending his grandson's sporting events and school programs. Edward also loved visiting casinos, playing poker with his high school friends and enjoyed the company of his dogs. He was also a passionate coin collector. He had a soft spot for Old Westerns and closely followed the stock market.
He was married to the love of his life, Cheri Jaris, for an inspiring 53 years before her passing in 2019. Edward's caring nature touched many, including his family, whom he cherished deeply.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, John Raymond Jaris and Meda Elvira Jaris, as well as his brother John Jaris, Jr.
He is survived by his son Chris Jaris and wife Sherri, and their sons Andrew and Daniel with his wife Abby; his daughter Melisa Jaris and wife Candi, along with their children Richard, Allen, and Grace; his daughter Carol Harris and her sons Christopher with his wife Alyssa and Nicholas Harris and partner Emily, and great-grandchildren Fern and Ember were all close to his heart. His family circle further includes his sister-in-law Carolyn, a nephew, and two nieces.
