Elizabeth Anne Marks

On August 21, 2015, Elizabeth Anne Davis Marks died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Cypress, Texas. She was born in Slocum, Texas on May 25, 1929; moved to Elkhart, Texas in 1937; and then to Orange, Texas in 1943 where she met her loving husband of 64 years, Malcolm Marks, who preceded her in death in June 2011. Liz was a loving mother, adored and admired by her children and all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Malcolm; daughter Mary Marks; and her parents Lillie and Artis Davis. She is survived by her brother, Jim Davis; her children Patricia Wickus, Malcolm Jr. and wife Sherry, Barry and wife Paige, William and wife Shelley, and Christopher Marks; grandchildren Malcolm III, Jamie, Trey, Kacie, William and Madelyn Marks. She leaves many good friends behind in all of the places she lived; Beaumont, Texas, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Tulsa, Oklahoma, St Louis, Missouri, and Houston, Texas. Liz loved her family; as a mother she gave her all to her children. She carried her quiet faith with her, and never deserted it. We rejoice that she is with her husband, daughter and parents with Jesus Christ her Lord and savior. We will all miss her dearly. A visitation will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home. The Celebration of Liz's Life will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home.
