Eloy Gerardo Torres, an adventurous, beloved, and devoted soul, passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on October 16, 1939, in Armstrong, Argentina, Eloy lived a life full of passion and dedication.
After first arriving in Houston in the 70s, Eloy was a waiter at the prestigious Brennan’s restaurant. He then went on to build a commendable career as a machinist and eventually starting his own company TNT Machine Shop. Always needing to stay busy, Eloy spent his “retired years” working at NASA and the At Reliant stadium. While working at reliant he was able to attend many sporting events, one of his biggest passions, and meet several of the Texans players.
In his personal life, Eloy was married to his beloved Anita for 46 beautiful years, cherishing every moment they spent together with their family. His adventurous spirit was evident in his love for travel, fishing, cooking, and learning new languages, which brought joy to his family and friends.
Eloy is preceded in death by his wife Anita Torres, his son Hector Torres, his granddaughter Andrea Ramirez, and his parents Maria Bossaletti Torres and Eusebio Torres.
He is survived by his daughter Sue Ann "Susie" Avila (Jesse), stepdaughter Rebecca Crawford, son Daniel Torres, grandchildren Erin Troff (Garrett), Jamie Porter (Will), Jesse Jr, Gabriel Avila, Marcella Torres and Melissa Torres; great-grandchildren Robyn Troff, William "Fritz" Troff, Henry Porter, and numerous family members in Argentina and Italy.
A visitation will be held on October 20, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, with the committal at 3:00 pm at the same location.
Eloy Gerardo Torres's life will be celebrated, and he will be remembered always with love and admiration by all who had the honor of knowing him.
