Elsie Marie Pope passed away on July 10, 2015 in League City, Texas. Elsie was born on February 10, 1928 in League City, Texas. She graduated from League City High School in 1946. She was a 1950 graduate of Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. Elsie is survived by her children Lawrence Jr. of Houston, Carolyn Atwood, Diane Pope, Genelle Sweitzer of League City, and Elizabeth Howard of Alvin. Elsie is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation held on Monday, July 13, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Friends Church; 925 3rd St. in League City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lighthouse Friends Church.
