Eric Miranda, a man known for his humorous outlook on life and legendary joking skills, passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 49. Growing up in Austin, Texas, he enjoyed a carefree, outgoing lifestyle that led him to entertain everyone around him.
Eric's professional life was centered on the oil and gas industry, where he spent his days as a refinery worker. Outside of work, his passions included working out at the gym every day, singing his heart out at karaoke, and reeling in the big ones while fishing. Known for making everyone laugh, there was never a dull moment when Eric was around.
His playful spirit extended to his community as well, where he often donned the persona of Tim McGraw as an impersonator and engaged in volunteer work with local churches. Always in tune with his own rhythm, Eric lived by the slogans "beat to his own drum" and "live life to the fullest."
Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Miranda, and grandparents, Joseph and Amelia Miranda. His lively spirit lives on through his children. He also leaves behind his father, Edward Miranda; mother, Billy Joyce Boutwell; brothers, Michael Miranda and Jason Miranda; sister, Clara Boutwell; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss his ever-clownish presence.
Though Eric has knocked life's final punchline out of the universe, his vibrant legacy serves as a reminder that life is best lived with humor and enthusiasm.
A visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a Celebration of Life to start at 2:00 pm and a committal to follow.
