Eva was born to Erhard and Elsbeth Brecht on January 1st, 1948 in Nuremberg Germany. She is preceded in death by both parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Walter Konrad, her sister and brother Gisela Uebelein, and Rainer Brecht, her daughter Julia Konrad Hayes, son in law Robert Hayes, daughter Nina Konrad, Step son Dean Konrad, grandchildren Dustin Konrad, Ariel Konrad, Olive Hayes, Aaron Williams, Amelia Hayes, Penelope Williams and Nolan Williams. She was incredibly smart and completed her education at Studium Pädagogische Hochschule Nurnberg to start her teaching career, which she loved.
She had a passion for learning and always stressed the importance of a good education. When she came to the United States with Walter they started a shutter company, Rollac Shutter, and she handled all the books, customer relations, essentially everything inside and Walter took care of everything on the outside. They grew the company over the next 40 years from a 3-man operation into one of the largest manufacturers of hurricane shutters in the US. Although she took this unexpected turn in her career, she always remained a teacher at heart. Through daily relationships she always passed on amazing advice, even if it was not intended. She had a way to connect to every person she met. She was very giving and incredibly kind.
