The World has lost a great American Hero. Long time South Belt resident Floyd Andrew Ruth WWII Vet. with two Purple Hearts, Pearl Harbor survivor, awarded the Metal of Merit by Pres. Ronald Ragan, has entered the Kingdom of Heaven at the age of 97yrs. to be with his beloved wife Emilia who left us in 1992.
Floyd was Father to sons Ed, David, John and nephew/son Chris. He was a Grandfather and Great-grandfather. He proudly served his Country in the US Navy and he was devoted to his family. Born in Winnsboro, SC. in 1924 he traveled the World and made Houston, Tx. his home. He departed this life on Thurs. Jan. 13, 2022. Kind, loving, humble, strong,fearless, wise,proud and Christian, he will be missed.
