

Frankie Pearl Brown-Hawkins, 82, of Houston, Texas, passed away the morning of February 16, 2018. She was born in Frio County, Texas on January 21, 1936 to Henry Lee Brown and Hazel Lynn Farris-Brown. She was married to Macon Vol Hawkins for 32 years. Frankie had a career in nursing and hospital administration for Houston Methodist Hospital Medical Center and Houston Methodist San Jacinto Baytown. She was a member of the Parkview church of Christ in Pasadena, Texas since approximately the year 2000. Frankie had a strong commitment to God since becoming a christian as a teenager. She had a passion for her family, baking, nursing, and for animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry Lee Brown and Hazel Lynn Farris-Brown; her brothers Henry Lee Brown, Jr., Charles Farris Brown, Leonard Brown, and Eugene Brown; her sister Christina Brown Rigby; and her grandchildren Dustin Mark Hawkins and Erika Renee Skrzypczak.
She is survived by her sisters Lynn Ella Brown Wise and Mary Brown Killough; her former husband Macon Vol Hawkins; her children Alvin Mark Hawkins, Teresa Jean Skrzypczak, Donna Genise Williams, and Sharon Leah Hawkins; her grandchildren Carl Josef Skrzypczak, Genise Nicole Youngblood, Katrina Gayle Williams, Arabella Edell Lovelace, Zelia Pearl Yocham, Geneva Rose Yocham, and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas, 77598 on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a Memorial service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Frankie will be laid to rest at Devine Evergreen Cemetery in Devine, Texas on Saturday, February, 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
