

Gaylon was born on January 1, 1951, in Freeport, Texas, to Winston C. Brown and Eddie Murl Brown. He spent his life building a career defined by technical skill, hard work, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Gaylon worked as an Instrument and Controls Specialist supporting the refining and power generation industries across the United States. During his career, he contributed to numerous major industrial projects, including work on the Alaskan Pipeline in the 1970s, an oil refinery in Hawaii during the 1980s, and multiple oil refinery and power generation projects throughout Texas during the 1980s and 1990s.
Later in his career, Gaylon became a business owner and partner in QA Support, LP, an engineering and environmental services company he helped build and operate successfully alongside his best friend of 30 years and Masonic brother, David G. Wortham. His work took him across the country and reflected both his technical expertise and dedication to his profession.
Gaylon was married to his beloved wife, Deborah A. Brown, for 44 years, sharing a life built on commitment, perseverance, and family.
Outside of his professional life, Gaylon had a passion for aviation and was a licensed private pilot. He enjoyed offshore fishing, hunting, and working on small projects around the house. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy. Gaylon was also a devoted Mason and a Master Mason, valuing the principles of brotherhood, loyalty, integrity, and service throughout his life.
Gaylon is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah A. Brown; his sons, Gaylon Scott Brown (Heather), and Elliott Winston Brown (Kathy); his daughters, Shelli Gay McCaffety (Jason), Chelli Parmer (Delane), and Angela Bearden; and his sisters, Phillis Rabourn (Ricky), and Roma Orme (Randy). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Gaylon lived a life defined by determination, loyalty, and devotion to those he loved. Whether traveling across the country for work, flying the skies he loved, fishing offshore, or simply spending time with family, he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His legacy of hard work, adventure, and unwavering love for his family will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.
