

Georgia Pearl Maywald, 86, of San Leon, Texas, passed away June 3, 2013. She was born in Peach Creek, Texas on August 5, 1926. Pearl attended ATM consolidated. She was married to Russell Arthur Maywald, Sr. on November 28, 1947, who preceded her in death. Pearl worked as a homemaker and looked most forward to Sunday dinners and large Holiday gatherings. She loved to spoil us all with her mouthwatering recipes! She is best known for her famous Russian Rock cookies and Chocolate Crème Pies! Pearl also had a passion for gardening. Anything she touched would flourish like no other. Almost without effort – Yes, she was just that good! Her yard was her canvas and she enjoyed covering every inch in flowers.
She is survived by her son Russell Arthur Maywald, Jr. and wife Rosemary. Her daughter Joyce Ann Louvier and husband Jim. Her five grandchildren Rusty Louvier and wife Connie, Wendy Day and husband Shane, Shana Shaffar and husband Eddie, Robert Louvier and wife Patti and Lindsey Rose Maywald. Her four great grandchildren Dillon Louvier, Kylie Golden, Emma Neuss and Kara Neuss. And one Great, Great Granddaughter, Jade Nicole Sorto. She is survived by her siblings Arthur Price and wife Betty, Jesse Price and wife Terry, Irene Bean and husband Richard and Leona Shoemake and husband Robert. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Francis Hartley, Eunice Greer, Jewel McKellop and Pat Hill, her twin brother, Earl Price, brothers Archie Price, Richard Price and Bill Price.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel at Forest Park East with interment to follow.
