

Gerald Lynn Bolding, age 77, of Porter, Texas passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Gerald was born November 7, 1944 in Providence, White County, AR to John Bolding and Jessie Bolding. He was married to Faye Tally Bolding for 51 years. Gerald worked for Lubrizol Corporation of Deer Park, TX for 28 years then worked for Landmark Corporation from June 2011 till July 2022. He was a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church of New Caney, TX.
Gerald liked gardening, woodworking, fishing, camping and helping others at every opportunity. During his later years, he enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and granddogs as rotten as he possibly could. He had a great passion for his Lord, serving as a deacon for many years. Later in life he answered the call to preach the Gospel.
He was ordained to pastoral ministry on January 21st, 2006 then became Associate Pastor of Twinland Missionary Baptist Church of Houston, TX. During his final years, he would preach as often as possible at churches mostly in the Southeast Texas area.
Gerald was preceded in death by his loving wife, Faye Bolding, parents John and Jessie Bolding, siblings Bob Bolding, Glenn Bolding, Larry Bolding and sister, Brenda Burgess.
He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Bolding of Porter, Texas, his son, Kevin Bolding and wife, Misty Bolding of Porter, TX, granddaughter, Nikole Bolding, great-grandsons Owen, Bryce and Keaton Kay, sister, Linda Stimbo of Judsonia, AR, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and so many friends they can't be numbered. He is also survived by his two loving grand dogs, Abby and Koko.
A visitation for Gerald will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598 with Rev. John Rushing officiating. A committal service will occur Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
