She was born in Gainesville, Georgia on March 2, 1934 to Homer and Caroline Evans. She was married to Phillip Collins for 25 years. Gerri had a career in nursing for 45 years. She had a passion for gardening and her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip; brother, Jim “Bud” Evans and wife Judy, Tom Evans and wife Lingling; son, Ed Duffett and wife Angel, Greg Duffett and wife Lauren; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home. Interment Forest Park East Cemetery.
