Glenn Elliott Prow

Glenn Elliott Prow left this world peacefully to his eternal home early in the morning of September 21, 2015. He celebrated his 82nd birthday on September 04, 2015. Glenn was born in Racine, WI, the only child of Julius and Lillian (nee Schimanaski) Prow. Growing up in Racine, he developed skills in electronics including Radio and TV broadcasting and repair. He met his wife, Roselyn and was married in 1955. Glenn graduated from Deforest Technical institute in the 1950’s. He pursued continuing education until he received his BS degree in computer Science from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 1985. He served in the United States Air Force during the late fifties. In the early 1960's he starting working at Honeywell in Florida on new Space program related projects, eventually ending up at the Johnson Space Center where he worked as an Engineer until he retired from Lockheed in 1995. He was a scoutmaster involved in Scouts for over 20 years. He enjoyed the railroads, and had a model train collection. Glenn was a member of the Living Word Church of the Bay Area, where he and Roselyn volunteered their time two days a week. Glenn is Survived by Roselyn (nee Parkison), his wife of 60 years; son Mark with wife Pam of Taylor Lake Village; daughter Sandra of Seattle, WA; one grandchild, Tony Prock and wife Jennifer of Montgomery, TX; nephew David Parkison and wife Kathy of Georgia; niece Paula Parkison of Florida; as well as many great-nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, Glenn requested contributions in his name be made to Living Word Church of the Bay Area, 2900 E Nasa Parkway #230, Seabrook 77586 281-532-9000. Donated funds will be directed toward expanding the Youth Ministry of the church. Glenn's celebration of life will commence Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home.
