Glenn Donovan Schaeffer Jr.

Glenn Donovan Schaeffer Jr., age 83, of Friendswood, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. Glenn was born in Morgantown, West Virginia on September 11, 1939 to Glenn and Lucile Schaeffer. He was married to Ruth Schaeffer for 40 years until her passing in 2002. Glenn worked as a plant controller and had retired as an accountant. In his professional life he had worked for W.R. Grace, Consolidated Aluminum, and VARCO. He had a passion for cultivating his roses, music, fish aquariums, and playing his favorite computer game.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Glenn and Lucile Schaeffer, and his wife; Ruth Schaeffer.

Glenn is survived by his sons; Glenn D. Schaeffer III and spouse Shirley Schaeffer, John M. Schaeffer and spouse Sheila Schaeffer, 5 grandchildren; Molly, Mitchell, Rachel, Jeana, Shannon, and 5 great grandchildren; Haven, Chase, Bayleigh, Blake, and Madison.

A visitation for Glenn will be held Monday, October 10, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
