Glenn Lawrence Taylor, 75, of League City, Texas passed away on March 20, 2024. He was born in Franklin, Louisiana on May 30, 1948, to Leonard Taylor, Sr., and Daisy Taylor. He was married to Shirley Ann Taylor for 57 years. Glenn had a career in oil field fabrication for McDermott International, Oceaneering, and Exxon Mobil.
Glenn grew up in Louisiana with his two brothers. Shirley and Glenn knew each other during high school years but started dating after graduation and then soon married. He traveled all over the world and help build the second largest oil jacket structure. Glenn was a self-made man living the American Dream and did everything for his family and friends. He was a smart, one-of-a-kind selfless man, that will be dearly missed by all.
Some of his hobbies included woodworking and painting, but his favorite was his yard work. He was very proud of his "Yard of the Month" sign!
He was preceded in death by father Leonard Taylor; mother Daisy Taylor; brother Leonard Taylor, Jr.; and son Scott Christopher Taylor.
He is survived by wife Shirley Ann Taylor; son Kelly Joe Taylor; daughter-in-law Jana Taylor; grandsons Dylan Lawrence Taylor and Nathaniel Joseph Taylor; and his brother Raymond Taylor.
A visitation for Glenn will be held Monday, March 25, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service to start at 10:00 a.m. and a committal to follow. All services will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas.
