Long time Sagemont resident Glinda Berg Collins passed away peacefully on September 13, 2015 to be with the Lord. She was born on November 18, 1946 in Palestine, Texas. She was devoted to her family, friends, faith, and to her tireless efforts of putting others before herself. Her life continues to inspire us all. Glinda is now reunited in Heaven with her mother Jane Hogan Stewart, her father Homer Stewart, her step-father James Stewart, and other cherished family members and friends. She is missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Anthony Wayne Berg and Shelley Berg Schultz with husband Chuck Schultz; her granddaughters Peyton Elyse Schultz and Caris Rose Schultz, who loved her dearly as Granna; as well as three brothers and a sister; her best friend Jackie Little; her favorite dog, Marley; and many wonderful family members and friends. Besides being a devoted grandmother, she worked in the oil and gas industry all her life. Having retired almost two years ago, Glinda was known to be happiest when she was dancing, traveling, watching her favorite sports teams, and of course spending time with her family. She recently enjoyed a long vacation in the Hawaiian Islands with her loved ones. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home. The Celebration of Glinda’s Life will be Friday, September 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home.
