Gus was a very accomplished artist who worked in several mediums from sketches, cartoons and paintings to medical art, stained glass and Apollo mission simulations.
Gus married the love of his life Joan Marie Simpson over 70 years ago and they have been inseparable since meeting while attending the University of Houston.
Gus is survived by his wife Joan, their two daughters Vivienne Baranowski and husband John and Vanessa Anderson and her husband Kevin.
Gus and Joan have 4 grandchildren; Rachel, Joshua, Stephanie and Meredith and 7 great-grandchildren; Sophie, Sage, Sean, Ethan, Braelyn, Ashlyn and Aubrey.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 pm. All services will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas.
