Hampton Charles Johns, Jr., 63, of Houston, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015. He was born in Welsh, Louisiana on September 18, 1952 to Hampton and Willie Johns, Sr. He was married to Ruby Lofton for 34 years. Hampton had a career at United Space Alliance as a Financial Planner and had a passion for gardening, pets and cooking. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Hampton Charles Johns, Sr. and mother, Mrs. Willie Elizabeth Johns. Hampton is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruby Lofton Johns; daughter, Erin Johns; grandchildren Jasmine, Ra Mani and Aaron Charles; three sisters Mrs. Jerra Williams, Mrs. Wanda Jones and Ms. Debra Johns; as well as a host of family and friends. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, January 09, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home. The Celebration of Hampton’s life will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel with interment to immediately follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
