Hank Henry Lafayette Williams, a beloved resident of Deer Park, Texas, passed away on November 15, 2025, at the age of 94. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on January 12, 1931, Hank was a faithful, thoughtful, and kind-hearted individual who touched the lives of many.
Hank was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Louisiana State University. He served his country with distinction as a Second Lieutenant in the Air Force and in the Air Force Reserves as a Captain, from the Korean War up until the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he dedicated 50 years to NASA and the Canadian Space Agency. He helped build everything that flew from the rockets to the space station.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Carolyn Gouge Oquin Williams, during which time they built a loving family. He is survived by his children, Andrew Williams (Rayna) and Kelly Williams. He was predeceased by his first wife Elna Daniels Williams and their infant son, Kevin. Sons, Travis Oquin, Lonnie Oquin (Anna), and daughter, Sharon Biorkman (Keith). He was also a proud granddaddy to Tyler Oquin (Elissa), Tristan Oquin, Amy Oquin, Brittany Oquin, Mason Stuart, Kevin Williams, Colby Williams, Megan Stuart, and a great-grandfather to Theo Oquin. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends also mourn his passing. He was also survived by his favorite sister-in-law, Sheila Phillips (Ed). He was preceded in death by his father Hermon Williams, mother Paulette Williams and brother Hermon Williams.
Hank had a passion for travel, having visited all 50 states and over 30 countries. He was an avid skier up until his eighties and enjoyed watching LSU football games. Additionally, he liked to paint, finding joy and solace in his creative pursuits.
A devoted Christian, Hank's dedication to his faith was evident in his service as a deacon at South Main Baptist Church. He participated in the church choir, was a bible study director, and volunteered in the family life center, embodying his strong faith and commitment to the Lord.

A visitation will be held at South Main Baptist Church, 4300 East Sam Houston Pkwy S, Pasadena, TX 77505, on November 24, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. The funeral service will follow at the same location from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. A committal service will take place at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598, from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm on the same day.
